THE 1-YEAR GENERALISTIC NURSING TRAINING
The general nursing assistant training gives you access to the nursing profession.
The training is divided into a practical part and a school part. At least 700 UE are allocated to theoretical and practical instruction and at least 950 UE to the practical part of the training. The full-time training lasts twelve months. It can also be completed part-time, with the training period being extended to 2 years.
The training takes place in alternation between sections of theoretical and practical instruction and practical training.
As with the nursing specialist, the training takes place in a dual system. This means that in addition to the theoretical and practical lessons in the nursing school, a provider of practical training is required to complete the practical assignments there.
This can be, for example, a hospital, an inpatient care facility or an outpatient care service.
The nursing assistant can serve as an entry point into the nursing profession. Our SELECTA placement team can support you in your search for an apprenticeship.
The training to become a nursing assistant is intended to enable you to support nursing professionals in fulfilling nursing tasks, to carry out their orders professionally under appropriate supervision, to document the measures carried out in accordance with the technical and legal requirements and to pass on the necessary information.
In addition, you will be given knowledge of simple treatment care, as was the case with the now superseded training to become a health and nursing assistant.
